Frequently Asked Questions

Straight question: what does 'Premium' on this listing actually get us?

An honest answer, because you deserve one before you spend anything: this 5-pack of the Canon 126 cartridge (part number 3483B001) is priced at $59.10 — exactly the same as the standard 5-pack listing — and carries the same rated 2,100 pages per cartridge. We are not going to invent a quality gap between two listings at the same price to justify a word in a title. What you are buying is five cartridges of the 126 line, 10,500 rated pages, under the listing your records point to.

So how should we choose between this and the standard 5-pack?

On the paperwork, not on promises. Both listings are the Canon 126 / 3483B001 cartridge in a 5-pack at $59.10 — $11.82 per cartridge, roughly 0.56 cents per page, $73.95 less than five singles at $26.61 each. If your purchase records, bookmarks or reorder history reference this listing, order here with confidence; if they reference the standard one, that is equally fine. Price, rating and cover are the same either way.

Why do duplicate listings like this exist at all?

Because buyers search and file by different labels. Some offices order the Canon 126 by family name; others keep part number 3483B001 in their systems; the listings exist so each workflow finds its cartridge without a translation step — and, in this case, so does a buyer who arrived looking for the premium listing specifically. What we will not do is pretend the shelf behind the labels holds two different grades of cartridge at one identical price.

What does the pack deliver in practical terms?

Five cartridges, a rated 10,500 pages — for a printer working through 60 pages a day, the better part of a working year without a reorder conversation. Stock rotates oldest-first from a cool, dry shelf; toner sealed in its bag does not age on any timescale a 5-pack will see. Set the reorder trigger at the second-to-last cartridge and the shelf runs itself.

Is there any risk this is a different cartridge from our Canon 126?

No — 3483B001 is the part number of the Canon 126 (126BK) itself, which is what every cartridge in this pack is. The trap in this corner of the catalogue is not Premium versus standard; it is 126 versus 125. The Canon 125 is a genuinely different cartridge for different printers (1,600 pages), and its packs sit within a dollar of these. Check the family number on the cartridge you are replacing and the rest takes care of itself.

What cover comes with this 5-pack?

The same cover as the standard listing, cartridge by cartridge: a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns on each compatible cartridge, so one faulty unit is replaced or refunded without disturbing the other four. Terms are on our shipping and returns page; orders ship from the nearest of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses, with support Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
