Frequently Asked Questions

Why do people still buy toner for a platform this old?

Because the printers refuse to die. The TN350 family runs in monochrome workhorses that have printed faithfully for years, and at $29.90 for 2,500 pages — about 1.20 cents a page — fresh toner is far cheaper than replacing a machine that still works.

Which printers use the TN350?

It fits DCP-7010, DCP-7020, DCP-7025, HL-2030, HL-2030R, HL-2040, HL-2040N, HL-2040R, HL-2070N, HL-2070NR, Intellifax 2820, Intellifax 2850, Intellifax 2910, Intellifax 2920, MFC-7220, MFC-7225N, MFC-7420 and MFC-7820D, the Brother monochrome models built around the TN350 cartridge. Confirm your model in that list and this is the right black toner for it.

How is the toner different from the drum in these printers?

The TN350 cartridge holds the toner and is rated for 2,500 pages. The matching DR350 drum is a separate unit rated for about 12,000 pages, so it outlasts roughly five toner cartridges. Fading means the toner is low; repeating lines or marks usually point to the drum instead.

What do prints look like when this cartridge is almost empty?

Pages get lighter overall, especially in big blocks of text, and shaking the cartridge side to side can briefly even things out — a classic sign you are near the end. That trick buys a little time, not a second cartridge's worth of pages.

What if this cartridge does not work in my machine?

It is covered by a one-year warranty, and returns are free for a full year, so a wrong or faulty cartridge is not your loss. Read the shipping and returns page for the steps, or call support Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

Should I buy one cartridge or a multi-pack?

One is fine if you print occasionally. If this printer earns its keep every week, the multi-packs cut the per-cartridge price well below $29.90, and the whole TN350 range is listed on the Brother brand page.

So far so good! I don't have many pages printed yet to rate consistency or yield but the quality of the prints is quite good.

Arrived carefully wrapped (good sign). It prints black enough though I'd like it to be more so ...but to be fair that might be the fault of my old printer. No mess smudges or lines from the get-go so I'm quite pleased. Love the price.

Great toner cartridge quality - previous cartridge I used left toner all over the page and made the printed page look grey. This product gives good clear printed pages. I can print very fine lines now and they show up on my HL-2070 printer. Highly recomme
